1 st Annual Horse N Hunt Challenge !! Went off without a hitch!
We all had a great time at the Horse N Hunt Challenge. The trails were wet after a huge overnight downpour! Sunday was kinda iffy at first, should we still go out or not? But the sun came out, riders appeared and off we went. The food was great. All recipes from the local folk straight out of the Lee Historical Society Cookbook. Everything went fast and by the end of the day, leftovers were minimal.
The trails were a little wet, the small trickle of water we normal step over was a swift moving brook, and also swept away one of the items to be found. On the first leg of the trail, riders were calling out items they could spot that didn't belong, then the largest portion of the trail was just riding for fun. Gotta watch out for the trees though, the wind had blown a few down, but the horses and riders handled it well. The end of the journey was again watching for lost items and lots of laughs were the item of the day when I started pointing out the items missed the first time through.
Who knew I could hide things so well in plain site!
