Introduction to Horses 101............Starting March 16th...................$25 per person
A Saturday program from 10 am to 2pm is for those needing a Spring Time Activity with Horses
. No age limits. No prior experience needed. This program will be fun, entertaining and educational for those of all abilities.
Basic Horse Care will be introduced by learning to brush and care for the coat and hooves of the horse. Equipment will be cleaned and oiled. Saddle fitting will be addressed for both fit of the rider and the horse. Games will enhance the learning process.
Along with learning, the participants will experience brushing and leading horses and if the weather allows, riding time can be included.
Exercises to prepare the rider for spring time riding will be part of the lesson program. As spring comes closer, the riders will be ready to assist in putting together a conditioning program for each horse used.
Weekly Riding Lessons will start in April...Date still to be determined by the weather.
For extra Horse Time, Consider volunteering for
4R Animal Shelter . Spend time brushing and grooming horses, leading and playing with them. Every rescue horse needs people time to learn to trust again. Can you be that special someone for a rescue??
